Creating backup

Postby rincerofwinds » Wed Jun 24, 2009 3:57 pm

When I try to create a backup I get the follwing warning message

Code: Select all
Warning: fread() [function.fread]: Length parameter must be greater than 0 in /home/********/public_html/razornew/admin/core/admin_func.php on line 2970
error creating zipfile

It appears to be something different to teh other warning message that people have got previously.

admittedly this is being tested on a free host, but everything previoulsy has worked fine so Im not sure if its a server issue or a bug

Thanks

cool, there have been a number of bugs I found whilst adding new functionality. I am going through testing and bug checks now before releasing BETA.

Hi,

Just creaetd a backup on a test site again (the one you have login details for smiffy) and I'm getting an error again

Code: Select all
Warning: fread() [function.fread]: Length parameter must be greater than 0 in /home/********/public_html/beta/admin/core/admin_func.php on line 3424

so looks like the line has moved as you though, but i didnt have the problem with the alpha 2 version, just the new beta so not sure if you changed something since.

Thanks

I noticed this,

I also got this message on my site, but only when I had uploaded and restored a backup from your site.

So backing up was fine, but backing up after I had restored your backup to my site gave me this error.

Th backup still works fine, but it throws up an error.

I believe it may be something to do with a file it does not like, so I will add this to beta bugs, this bit has not changed since alpha 2 so it may be something to do with a file that is being backed up rather than the version.

Load a fresh install on your server, do a backup from fresh then restore and I bet you will have no issues, we need to find the rogue file to understand the fault that is being thrown up when reading using fread function.
