SEF not working

Help configuring, installing and using blade packs.

SEF not working

Postby tHud » Sat Jul 24, 2010 9:59 pm

Hi
I installed the SEF URL v1.0 blade pack from the downloads section.

However when it is activated, I get...

Not Found

The requested URL /yada_yada.htm was not found on this server

I have un-installed all other blades and this is still the case.

It also appears to be the case on a fresh install.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks :)

Additional....

I thought it was odd that I didn't have a .htaccess file (esp. for a mod rewrite requirement).

I couldn't find a solution in the forum until the word rewrite popped into my head....
(Then I found a thread dealing with this topic.)

Well, in my download of razor cms no .htaccess file was installed.
I was about to say there was no .htaccess file - but I just downloaded again and it was there. But it didn't install.....

I have since manually installed it - but no difference :(

Any thoughts?

Thanks :D

Hi!

Hint 1
I had the same problem on my localhost, because mod rewrite was not working. SEF is working, when mod rewrite is ON.

If you can edit htpd.conf file - find a line:
# LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so
and remove '#' (turn it on).
And find there "AllowOverride None", and change this on "AllowOverride All".

Restart localhost.

Hint 2
Try to edit .htaccess file and uncomment RewriteBase /
(remove '/' )
